Hotels in downtown Charleston are notoriously expensive.  As June is wedding season here, we highly recommend that you book your rooms as far in advance as possible.  We’ve pulled together a listing of several hotels and one hostel in and around the conference area.  But we also recommend using a site like Hotwire, Priceline or to search for your best rate.  AirBnB also has some very good rates in the downtown area. Parking & Driving Information

There is actually quite a bit of parking in downtown Charleston and finding a lot/garage shouldn’t be much of a problem.  Most parking garages range in price from $1-2 dollars/hour and many hotels will offer parking options with your room.  Though, if you are willing to look around, it might be cheaper to park near your hotel in a city garage then to park at your hotel.  Downtown Charleston is very walkable and it is unlikely that you will need a car to get around the downtown area.  While there are taxi services, there isn’t a large taxi population downtown, so you will need to call to schedule a ride.  Here are some links to a variety of parking information, maps and taxi services.  We’ve also highlighted a few conveniently located parking garages in the conference map.
